Our mission is to eliminate single-use plastic shoe covers across the Nordics - step by step - by replacing them with durable, reusable alternatives made from upcycled materials, and driving the shift toward a circular future.
Our Vision
We dream big: reCovers will become the Nordic region’s go-to choice for reusable shoe covers - and pave the way for more circular textile products. We want to show that sustainable choices can be smart, stylish, and easy - making reuse the natural first choice. We aim to phase out single-use plastics from everyday life - one step at a time.

SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
Target 12.5 Substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse → We replace disposable plastic shoe covers with reusable ones made from upcycled materials, focusing on repair and extended product life.
Target 12.6 Encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and integrate sustainability information → Our upcoming QR code system and sustainability data will help clients measure plastic reduction and report environmental impact.

Target 13.3 Improve education and awareness on climate change mitigation → We offer educational materials and campaigns that promote behavior change and encourage circular habits.

Our Plan
Leasing
We will offer leasing options for businesses, providing a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic shoe covers. By leasing reCovers, businesses can reduce waste and minimise their environmental impact.
Repair and Reuse
We believe in extending the lifespan of our products through repair and reuse. If a pair of reCovers gets damaged, we will repair them, ensuring they remain in circulation for as long as possible. This reduces waste and promotes a culture of reuse.
Closing the Loop
Integrating leasing, repair, and reuse into our business model, to close the loop on the traditional linear economy. We're aiming to create a system where resources are used efficiently, products are kept in circulation, and waste is minimised.
Meet the Team!
reCovers founders Scott and Björney, were friends and neighbours years before they came up with the idea to create reCovers.
One rainy day at preschool pick-up, the reCovers idea came to life. Looking at the school floors covered in single-use plastic shoe covers, Scott and Björney made a promise to their children that they would fix this problem!
After a few weeks of brainstorming, the vision for reCovers was born: using a circular business model and upcycled materials, a reusable product would be introduced, and would contribute to increased sustainable production and consumption.
