the why

it started at preschool pick-up on a rainy day in Gothenburg, Sweden

the floors were covered in single-use plastic shoe covers, used once, then thrown away

we promised our kids we'd fix this

a few weeks later, reCovers was born

the how

we work exclusively with existing materials: deadstock fabric, production offcuts, and upcycled second-hand garments

right now we mainly work with rainwear fabrics and denim: tough, water-resistant materials that happen to be perfect for covers

everything is handmade in Gothenburg
