Life Cycle Assessment on our shoecovers | 2.43kg less waste per pair

This is Part 2 of our Life Cycle Assessment. In the first part, we shared that our reusable shoe covers can reduce climate impact by up to 62% compared to single-use alternatives when used over 500 times. This time, we're going to look closer at why that matters.

One pair of reusable shoe covers can reduce plastic waste by approximately 2.43 kg per pair compared to disposable alternatives. Instead of using and throwing away many single-use products, one reusable pair can replace them over time.

But the benefit depends on how the product is used. The longer it stays in use, and the more disposable products it replaces, the greater the environmental advantage becomes. That's also why clear communication is important. Reusable products are not automatically sustainable in every situation. They need to be used enough, cared for properly, and introduced in the right settings.

For workplaces where shoe covers are used frequently, switching to reusable solutions can create a measurable reduction in waste while still being practical in everyday operations. For us, sustainability means looking at the full picture, understanding where impact happens, being transparent about the conditions behind the numbers, and improving step by step.
